AKC Agility Trial
Two days of Standard, Jumpers With Weaves and FAST. Our first AKC trial of the indoor season.
Entries closed · Spectators welcome
Jumps, tunnels and weaves, run against the clock with you steering. High-energy dogs who love to run, and handlers who like to move.
Main ArenaWhat is agility?
Agility is a timed obstacle course: jumps, tunnels, weave poles, the A-frame, the dog walk and the teeter. You run the course with your dog off leash and steer with your body, your voice and your timing. The judge sets a new course every trial, so no two runs are ever the same.
At All-Star, agility starts on the ground. Level 1 builds body awareness, a solid start line and the handling cues your dog will rely on at full speed. Jump heights only go up once growth plates are closed and the basics are clean.
How a run works
Here is what happens from the moment you walk into the ring.
Handlers walk the numbered course without dogs and plan every turn.
Your dog holds a stay while you lead out to the best spot.
Faults for knocked bars, missed contacts and refusals. Speed counts.
A clean run under course time is a qualifying score toward titles.
Your path
Six-week sessions for Levels 1–3. Level 4 is ongoing team training by coach invite.
Body awareness, start-line stays, handling on the flat, tunnels and low jumps.
Contacts, weave-pole entries, front and blind crosses, 5–8 obstacle sequences.
Full AKC and UKI courses, timed walk-throughs and mock trials in the Main Arena.
Ongoing team training, course analysis and a coach ringside at trials.

Session starts November 9. Members book from their dashboard; everyone else can register online.
Your coach

With Blitz, Border Collie mix · MACH2 (AKC), UKI Champion
Darius spent eleven years as a strength and conditioning coach for a Big Ten track & field program before Blitz talked him into agility. He founded All-Star in 2019, still coaches every Level 3 and 4 agility class, and runs the conditioning program in the Training Room.
All coachesNo. Every breed and mixed breed can compete. AKC and UKI both have jump-height classes for every size, and mixed breeds enter the same trials as purebreds.
Most teams enter their first trial after 12 to 18 months of classes. Level 3 runs mock trials in the same ring you'll compete in, so the first real one feels familiar.
