How Day Camp works

Small groups, big days.

Most daycares put thirty dogs in a room and hope for the best. We run Day Camp the way a good summer camp runs: in small cabins, each with its own counselor, its own space and its own schedule.

Your dog plays with friends who match their size and style, gets a break before they get overtired, and naps on a raised cot during Rest Hour. At pick-up you'll get a Camp Postcard text with a photo and one line about their day.

  • 1 counselor for every 10 dogs, always
  • Rest Hour every day from 12:30 to 2:00
  • Indoor and outdoor play, heated and cooled halls
  • Fresh water stations and a midday potty walk
  • Pupcam access for every camper's family

The four cabins

Every camper has a cabin.

After First Day of Camp, counselors place your dog in the cabin that fits them best. Dogs can move cabins as they grow, slow down or make new friends.

CHIPMUNKS CABIN Small dogs under 25 lb

Chipmunks

Little dogs who love to play but don't want to be stepped on. They have the Rec Hall to themselves, with low ramps, soft mats and gentle games.

FOXES CABIN Medium dogs · moderate play

Foxes

Medium-size dogs who like a good game of chase and a good sniff in equal measure. Foxes rotate between the Mess Hall and Field Day Field.

BLACK BEARS CABIN Big, bouncy players

Black Bears

Big dogs who wrestle, run and body-slam with joy. Black Bears get the most room, the longest Field Day and a counselor who loves the chaos.

OWLS CABIN Seniors & low-key dogs

Owls

Older or calmer dogs who prefer a slow stroll and a long nap. Owls live at Lazy Pines with orthopedic beds and a gentler schedule.
