Everything families usually ask us about Absoloot puppies, health testing, pricing and our dogs.
How much does an Absoloot puppy cost?
Companion and performance puppies start at $3,500. Companion-trained young adults are occasionally available starting at $3,800. Show and breeding prospects are placed to the trade only, with pricing and contracts by private agreement.
How do I get on the list for a puppy?
Start with our puppy questionnaire. We read every one ourselves and will reach out to talk once a breeding is confirmed.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. Once we've talked and agreed on a placement, a $500 deposit reserves your place. Deposits are non-refundable.
What health testing do the parents have?
Every Absoloot dog has OFA hip and elbow readings at two years old, yearly eye exams by a certified canine ophthalmologist, and a DNA profile. They are also tested for the HSF4 cataract mutation, CEA, PHA and MDR1.
What does a puppy come with when it goes home?
Each puppy has had an eye exam and first shots, has started crate and leash training, and has met many different people, places and situations.
Do you have puppies available right now?
Litters are planned carefully and not often. See our Litters page for the latest news, and send in the questionnaire so we can let you know when a breeding is confirmed.
Are your puppies raised in a kennel?
No. Our dogs are 100% part of the family. They live in the house with us rather than in crates or a kennel, and the couch is without a doubt their favorite spot.
What do you feed your dogs?
Our dogs are raised on a raw and holistic kibble diet with plenty of fresh air and exercise. We proudly feed Fromm and Bravo.
What is your approach to vaccinations?
We follow a minimal-vaccination approach. We're happy to talk through the schedule with every new family.
Are your dogs ASCA and AKC registered?
Yes. Absoloot is an ASCA and AKC registered kennel, and our dogs are shown in both. Keli Gaunt is ASCA Senior Breeder Judge No. 5062.
Can I ask for a discount?
Tremendous care, expertise, time and effort go into raising every Absoloot dog, so we respectfully ask that requests for discount pricing are not made. Thank you for understanding.
Do you offer stud services?
Several of our males are available at stud to approved bitches. Contact us for a stud packet and more information.
Do you offer handling, grooming or boarding?
Yes. Keli offers professional handling for ASCA conformation, we groom show dogs and others on a limited basis, and we offer boarding and day care. See our Services page for details.
Where are you located?
Absoloot has two homes: Keli Gaunt in Georgetown, Kentucky and Morgan Hubbard in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
