Raising an Aussie

Good habits from day one

Before they come home

Puppy-proof your home, choose a vet, and set up a crate in a quiet spot. A crate, collar, leash, bowls and a few safe chew toys are all you need on day one.

Food

Our dogs are raised on a holistic diet of raw and kibble food, and we proudly feed Fromm and Bravo. Your puppy goes home with food to keep the first weeks consistent.

Vaccinations

We follow a minimal-vaccination approach. We'll go over your puppy's records and schedule with you, and your vet can help plan what comes next.

Exercise & growing joints

Puppies' growth plates are still developing, so keep exercise gentle: short walks, free play on soft ground, and no forced running or repetitive jumping until they're fully grown.

Crate & leash

Every Absoloot puppy has already started crate and leash training. Keep sessions short and positive, and build on what they've learned.

Socialization

Our puppies have met many people, places and situations. Keep introducing new experiences calmly and kindly through their first months.

Grooming

Aussies have a double coat. Brush weekly (more when shedding), trim nails regularly, and keep ears clean.
