A lifelong love
of Australian Shepherds
Absoloot grew out of horse barns, show rings and the Aussies who were always at our side. Many years and many champions later, Keli Gaunt and Morgan Hubbard breed Australian Shepherds for structure, soundness and sweet temperaments: dogs that can win a Best in Show and still be wonderful at home.
Health and care
come first
Tremendous care, expertise, time and effort go into raising every Absoloot dog. Every puppy comes from parents with:
- Full health testing. OFA hips and elbows at two years old and yearly eye exams by a certified canine ophthalmologist.
- DNA profiles and genetic screening for the HSF4 cataract mutation, CEA, PHA and MDR1.
- A life in the house, not a kennel. Our dogs are part of the family, and the couch is their favorite spot.
- A thoughtful start. Raw and holistic nutrition, minimal vaccinations, plenty of exercise and fresh air.

Every puppy has its eyes checked and its first shots, and has started crate and leash training. Each one has met new people, sounds and places before going home.

See all questionsHow much does an Absoloot puppy cost?
Companion and performance puppies start at $3,500. Companion-trained young adults are occasionally available starting at $3,800. Show and breeding prospects are placed to the trade only, with pricing and contracts by private agreement.
How do I get on the list for a puppy?
Start with our puppy questionnaire. We read every one ourselves and will reach out to talk once a breeding is confirmed.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. Once we've talked and agreed on a placement, a $500 deposit reserves your place. Deposits are non-refundable.
What health testing do the parents have?
Every Absoloot dog has OFA hip and elbow readings at two years old, yearly eye exams by a certified canine ophthalmologist, and a DNA profile. They are also tested for the HSF4 cataract mutation, CEA, PHA and MDR1.
What does a puppy come with when it goes home?
